About the event
If you have been feeling drained and out of balance this an opportunity to slow down and tune in. Join Jennifer Ashley, a Mental Health Professional and Kripalu trained yoga teacher, for a workshop to help you learn to recognize your stress cycle and cultivate intuitive and practical self-care practices.
Session I: -Introduction to the stress cycle, learn how stress impacts the physical and emotional body and learn concrete skills to help improve your ability to deal with stress - Learn what it means to live wholeheartedly through guideposts of daily living to help increase more joy and fulfillment in life
-Develop self-compassion practices to cultivate more self-acceptance and decrease self-criticism and judgement. -Explore the myths of happiness and how it impacts the way it takes away from acceptance and feelings of fulfillment in life
Session II: -Learn breath and movement practices to help regulate your nervous system to reduce stress and create more peace - Learn ayurvedic practices to support your overall wellbeing and to bring more balance into your life -Develop personal affirmations to help ground and reconnect you to yourself and inner needs -Engage in practices that connect you to your creativity to help stimulate more self-expression and joy
Between sessions you will be provided with a guided meditation and journaling prompt to help begin developing skills learned in session I.

You will intentionally connect to your needs and learn to follow your inner guidance so that your actions align with what will best support you.
· Explore meditation and mindfulness as tools to support your healing and growth
· Engage in practice and learn concrete tools you can use, starting now, to develop greater attunement with your own needs
· Learn what fulfills you and how to make choices that align with your needs
· Develop greater self-compassion and acceptance of self
· Build greater self-awareness to understand your personal patterns so you can consciously make changes
